                                                                              WILDLIFE

March 3rd is known around the world as ''WORLD WILDLIFE DAY''.  In which information

about various wildlife and endangered plants has been obtained.  But on this special day,

let's talk about birds which are an important part of wildlife.  Countless birds are found all

over the world, the most unique of which are their nests.  Let's see how much artwork they

           made their nest with.

                                                                             SMALL NEST

The world's smallest bird, the humming bird, builds its nest from spider webs and tiny leaves.

The nest is very flexible.  As the chicks emerge from the eggs, so does the nest.

                                                                           HOLLOW NEST

Nest carved into a large tree trunk with a beak is called a hollow nest.  Birds like Parrots,

Owls, Hyenas, Woodpeckers, etc make such nests.

                                                                   NEST ABOVE GROUND

Birds like Ducks, Ostriches, Emus, etc make their nests on the ground.  They make their

nests on the ground.  They make nests using leave and tree branches.

                                                                    NEST MADE OF CLAY

Ababil birds build their nests from clay.  This bird builds its nest using soil and tree leaves.

You get surprised, right?  Secondly, the construction of the earthen nest made by them is

such that it is not damaged even in rain or storm.

                                                                            LARGE NEST

Big birds such as Eagle, Hawk, and Crane make large nests in this way.  In which they make

their nest using small and big branches and big leaves of the tree.  These nests are very large

in size and also very strong.  They prefer to build their nest on a high mountain on or tall trees.

                                                                        HANGING NEST

The weaver bird builds its nest at the height of a tree with grass shoots and small stalks.

For years they use the same nest.  It often happens that another bird uses a nest made

          by some another bird.

                                                                         FLOATING NEST

This type of nest is made by birds floating in the water such as swan and duck-like species

          make such floating nests.

                                                                          EDIBLE NEST

The swiftlet is a bird that makes edible nests, which can also be eaten.  This type of nest is

made by this bird with its own saliva.  Chinese people do eat this bird nest in addition they

also make soup out of it.  In India, this bird is found in Andaman and Nicobar islands.

The cost of their nest in India is around rupees- 3 lakhs per kg.
